Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

With all the hype that the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette is getting...I wanted to check it out and compare it to others. Some of the colors are oddly familiar if you have any of the other urban decay palettes.

Now, I personally love urban decay but... I don't know if I'm going to be running out to grab this one, I'm still rather undecided, and heres why...

It’s going to be $54 like all of the other palettes and will be available online on UD starting July 8, 2015 then at Sephora, Ulta and so on... It has a magnetic closure (pretty exciting in my opinion) I feel that its more secure for the shadows.

It comes with 12 powder eyeshadows with colors that are meant for smokey eye looks. Nine out of twelve shadows in it are new, which include: High, Dirtysweet, Slanted, Dagger, Smolder, Password, Whiskey, Combust and Thirteen. They reused three of the colors including: radar, black market, and armor. It comes with a dual-sided brush that has a tapered blending brush on one end and a pencil brush on the other. It comes with four step-by-step eye tutorials, and a list of smokey eye tips. But they all come with those little booklets.

In my honest opinion, i think that the UD Naked Smoky Palette is too similar to the other palettes in the UD lineup, but they do seem to be on the darker scale. Their packaging has been improved!! No more clasps or crappy foam/cardboard. However, i am still on the fence about this one. I really love Urban Decay but I have almost all of the same shades in the other palettes and some that are REALLY similar to them in coastal scents shadow pots. I am so torn at this point.
